Pavel Evdokimov, director general of Poliom: “An integrated management system that meets the requirements of international standards allows us to ensure the sustainable development of the enterprise. Occupational safety, industrial safety, product quality, energy efficiency of production process, as well as maintenance of a favorable environment are the most important fields of Poliom’s activities. The plant consistently reduces the environmental load, introduces the advanced eco-technologies and improves the culture of environmental safety”. |
It should be recalled that as a part of the Clean Air federal project, the Omsk Polypropylene Plant is consistently reducing its environmental impact: in comparison with 2017, the reduction has already amounted to 17%. One of the key activities within the framework of this project is the flaring system modernization that will further reduce impact on the atmospheric air by another 7%. Due to the state-of-the-art gas compression and recovery plants, not only an ecological effect is achieved, but also the production efficiency is increased - the propylene processing depth has been increased to a maximum value of 99.5%.
The Poliom employees take an active part in the environmental campaigns, voluntary clean-ups, and tree planting. The enterprise is also engaged in environmental awareness-building, in particular, the employees conduct eco-lessons for schoolchildren devoted to the conscious consumption and recycling opportunities.
