Poliom provided the Omsk medical workers with antiviral protection equipment

As a part of the anti-COVID-19 program, the Omsk Polypropylene Plant (Poliom), a joint venture of Gazprom Neft and SIBUR, provided the Dalmatov Infectious Clinical Hospital with the epidemiological kits for medical personnel.

In accordance with the needs of the healthcare system of the Omsk region, the protective overalls became the main items of the supply. The overalls are made of polymer material and have the required level of anti-viral barrier protection.

“Industrial enterprises of the Omsk region did not stand aside, but supported the region. In tough times, such help takes on special value. The protective overalls are the most demanded and the most expensive attribute of medical workers who are fighting against infection, so the need for them is the most urgent. The sets of protective overalls and respirators provided by Poliom to the medical workers are a common contribution to the fight against the epidemic”, said Irina Soldatova, Minister of Healthcare of the Omsk region.

Inna Tolokh, temporarily acting chief physician of the infectious diseases hospital, noted the high quality of the kits: “The overalls are completely impervious to viruses and bacteria and establish a reliable barrier. Preserving the health of medical personnel is one of the main tasks, and the high-quality personal protective equipment will help us to solve this issue".

SIBUR and Gazprom Neft are implementing comprehensive anti-COVID-19 programs in the regions of work. SIBUR donated more than 40,000 protective overalls to the regions where the company operates according to the Formula of Good Business social investment program. In addition, the company has joined the measures to combat the spread of coronavirus infection as a part of the charitable program of the Far East Development Fund. As a part of the Gazprom Neft for Medical Workers campaign, Gazprom Neft sent the lung ventilators and over 1.3 million items of personal protective equipment to the regional hospitals, namely the masks, respirators, protective overalls, glasses, gloves and antiseptic agents. Gazprom Neft also provides free refueling for ambulances and social service vehicles in the Omsk region.
