Poliom ensures continuous manufacturing of the polymer products

Poliom is a continuous production enterprise and is included in the list of the regional systemic companies. The plant continues to operate in a routine mode in accordance with the production plan.

To ensure the safety of employees, the enterprise has implemented a set of preventive measures: regular measurements of the body temperature of personnel, disinfection of premises, vehicles, contact surfaces of the equipment and office appliances. All employees are provided with the personal respiratory protection equipment and antiseptic agents. In order to reduce the number of contacts between staff, some of the employees are distant workers.

The company has also developed an internal special-shift mode for key personnel to ensure the production process continuity, and initiated a preventive phased testing of workers for COVID-19.

The enterprise continues the planned manufacturing of its main product – polypropylene that is a valuable raw material for the medical industry. Polypropylene is widely used in the healthcare system due to its high temperature resistance, strength and density. The material is able to withstand hot sterilization, has a dense surface that is not very suitable for the development of various microorganisms, and also has good performance specifications. Polypropylene is used to make syringes, equipment for the droppers, inhaler parts, as well as the disposable medical clothing, masks and capes for individual protection of the body against infections.
